Ethical guidelines

This is the Code of Conduct for the entire Entec group. It also applies to all the businesses within Brimer.

The Code of Conduct applies to Entec Group's employees at all levels, including temporary employees and contractors, and shall form the basis for all professional practice, regardless of where you practice your profession.

The Code of Conduct for Entec Group shall also be reflected in work regulations, employment contracts and job instructions.

Suppliers and business partners shall be made aware of the contents of this document and that violation of the Code may lead to exclusion.

1. respect and equality

Employees of Entec Group shall strive for honesty, openness and correct and good behavior towards Entec Group's employees, customers, competitors, business associates and authorities. The company and its employees shall ensure that they are not complicit in human rights violations.

2. Integrity

Entec Group has zero tolerance for corruption, theft, etc. and works actively to ensure that this does not occur. Employees must be particularly careful when using agents.

You shall not, through your work in Entec Group, receive or seek to obtain benefits for yourself or related persons that are inappropriate or otherwise likely to damage the interests or reputation of Entec Group.

3. professional integrity

Entec Group's employees must acknowledge their professional responsibility and perform their work in a quality and professionally responsible manner, including sharing their knowledge with colleagues.

Entec Group and its employees shall comply with the laws, rules, regulations and normal business culture in the countries in which it has ownership interests, has an established business relationship or is located, in addition to Norwegian law.

4. social responsibility

Entec Group employees must show respect for the interaction between technology/professional practice and human values, and contribute to openness about the consequences of technological/professional solutions for society, the environment and the individual. A precautionary approach is sought in all work. 

5. environment

Employees at Entec Group must always comply with the environmental requirements of the law, and the company must also take environmental responsibility for the manufacture, distribution and use of its products. Environmentally friendly and future-oriented methods, processes, products and raw materials shall be considered throughout the value chain, including the reuse and recycling of products and residual materials.

6. personal behavior

Employees in Entec Group shall contribute to Entec Group having a good working environment characterized by equality, diversity, openness and tolerance.

7. harassment

Entec Group prohibits harassment of colleagues, stakeholders, management, customers, suppliers and others with whom you as an employee interact on the basis of nationality, age, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity, including forced labor and child labor.

8. intoxicants

There is zero tolerance for the use of intoxicants during working hours, and under no circumstances should you be under the influence of intoxicants in connection with work for Entec Group. The exception is on special occasions when alcoholic beverages are served, only in agreement with the immediate manager.

9. notification

Entec Group wants an open corporate culture where it is acceptable to raise concerns and criticism. The procedure for handling whistleblowing is intended to protect those who report misconduct. Misconduct means a breach of legislation or a breach of clearly communicated internal guidelines.

10. confidentiality

Employees of Entec Group AS treat sensitive information with care and loyalty. Information about third parties that you acquire through your work is also covered by this section. The duty of confidentiality applies even after termination of employment.

The duty of confidentiality in work regulations, employment contracts or job instructions does not prevent you from informing your superior if you become aware of a breach of regulations, laws or rules drawn up by the authorities. This also applies to breaches of internal guidelines, regulations or matters that may damage Entec Group's reputation or trust. 

11.Entec Group's assets

Entec Group's equipment and assets, including computer equipment and office materials, shall primarily be used for work-related purposes, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

12. Travel, events, gifts, etc.

Employees of Entec Group shall not demand or receive personal benefits for their services. We decline gifts or other benefits that may be perceived as improper advantages based on the employment relationship. Acceptance of gifts must be clarified with the immediate manager.

Employees of Entec Group shall only participate in trips and events organized by suppliers and business partners when the event/trip has a professional justification or provides business opportunities.

13. IT

There is zero tolerance for using the internet to commit criminal acts, including downloading illegal and offensive data, distributing offensive or abusive messages or materials.

14. Media

All communication on behalf of the company to the media must be cleared with your immediate manager, as long as it is not of a personal nature and in line with these guidelines.

It is expected that the employee, through their activity on social media, does not put Entec Group in a bad light and that the ethical guidelines are followed. Publication of images and/or mention of the company or customer shall not occur.

15. GDPR

Entec Group shall process and store all personal data in accordance with applicable rules, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

16. Infringement

Violation of Entec Group's Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary sanctions, either in the form of a warning, termination or dismissal.
