Information cookies

This is Brimer's report on due diligence assessments under the Transparency Act.

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer when you download a website. The Norwegian Data Protection Authority currently uses cookies for the following purposes:

  • To enable various services on our website to work.
  • To provide form functionality.

We have also developed a privacy-friendly statistics solution. This requires a session cookie. The session cookie we use is called "datatilsynet", and is the same as the one used for login (see the list below). In addition, the user agent used is also stored. This is not something we have used in the statistics, but it can be used, among other things, to see which types of device are most commonly used. This only contains the "user-agent string" (e.g. Mozilla/5.0).

When you visit datatilsynet.no, we install cookies that are necessary for you to be able to use our website. If you give your consent, we may also use cookies for form functionality. See the overview of optional and necessary cookies below. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

The use of cookies is regulated in section 2-7b of the Electronic Communications Act.
